When we speak on NDT controls techniques and test laboratory, we refer to a wide range of action. We can refer to industrial and manufacturing areas when we have to execute controls, areas that include monitoring of structures, special processes, such as the activities of welding and heat treatment. Beyond the various possible applications in the field, what nondestructive techniques propose to do is to ensure monitoring of all production processes, which is constant and especially durable. The scope is to ensure the maximum level of security for workers. The control, direct to the product and maintained during the process, ensures a high threshold of protection against who works closely with the material.
While therefore the techniques of non-destructive controls ensure a good level of quality of the materials and the products, on the other reduce the risks related to accidents at work. In other words the gain of safety and quality is equal to the investment in this type of controls. Another essential feature of the techniques of non-destructive testing is being carried out during construction. This means that the material to be analyzed is not destroyed and consequently the machining process does not suffer any type of slowdown. The same applies to the laboratory tests, which are designed to sample and test the physical and chemical characteristics of the material object of processing. Control is able to provide all these services thank to the skills of its technicians. The experience gained during the many years of activity allows the company to act promptly and effectively in various fields of activities. The experience and professionalism are two important factors for the smooth progress of the techniques of non-destructive testing. The materials to be analyzed it can be different for physical properties, shape and size, which affects the type of examination and indicated the manner of execution. Knowing the physical and chemical characteristics of a material is therefore an essential requirement because control is being performed correctly, all to the advantage of the production process.
The Company has developed in the industrial field, later in the offshore field (piping and structures). For non-destructive testing Control has always operated in strict compliance with the regulations and is able to carry out its activities both in Italy than abroad. The Company staff has the necessary certifications to operate in all sectors and it is constantly updated and verified by Company 3rd level through internal courses and seminars.

Non-destructive controls consist in examinations and tests that are carried out using techniques of the last generation; these controls should not alter the chemical-physical composition of the material, nor to destroy the element. The non-destructive inspections are performed by two methods: volumetric and superficial.
With the volumetric method (RT, UT) it’s made a more accurate testing throughout the entire volume of the element, while the surface method (PT, VT, MT) it’s detected defects on the surface of the element analyzed. All non-destructive inspections are performed during the pre-fabrication, installation, assembly and maintenance; in this way we ensure that, during all stages, the element not takes over any unevenness and it is accepted according to codes and / or laws applicable.
All activities are performed by qualified NDT technicians according to international standards, ASNT TC1A, API RP 2X , EN ISO 9712+PED II and III level, inspection TWA
Control in order to ensure its technician and environment security built two Local called “BUNKER”, where RX control are made. Also it achieved a fixed oven to perform heat treatments on pre-assembled and welded components.
Unlike the non-destructive testing, laboratory tests, also known as destructive tests, go to change the composition of the material. For example, the tensile test consists in exposing samples of the tested material to a growing effort that lead to breakage.
For all the tests, our staff withdraw samples of material according to the main features, such as shape and size, and not on finished parts, taking precautions in full compliance with applicable standards and safety checks.
